NEW DO's
ok, so I've been thinking about these for a while. They are an old idea that untill recently haven't been used. Black Cat Bikes, I feel, can take credit for their rebirth. Salsa probably would take credit but I think, not so fast. I decided to meld some ideas. First, I liked Salsa's aluminum parts so decided to utilize them. If you fuck up and crush or maim them, bingo, QBP has them. Problem solved. Second, belt drive Do's are hard to come by in a functional manner ( stupid horizontal sliders aren't disc friendly). Third, no threaded parts on the frame = no failures. Let me know what you think.

2010 let the good times roll
I'm not so good at this blog thing. ohh well, maybe I'll get with it soon.
Steph and I are gonna do another long ride this year, we'er goin to Scotland.
We have a basic plan but are'nt to stressed about the logistics.
We've had a few cycle tourers come and stay at our house and really enjoyed their sense of adventure. It fuels our goal to really make the big trip happen in a few years.
I'm also gonna get going on some new frames again. I have a small list of builds.
So there it is. I'll try better

Stephs new rig

Here's a drawing of the next version or evolution, pretty sweet.
The numbers are a bit crazy but I think this will be perfect.
So I'm starting a new frame for Steph, making a few changes to her unusually wickedly wicked geometry, cycle type thingy.
These Ritchey parts are inspiration for the bike as well as our Spain trip.
pretty nice stuff and a lot more affordable than the S & S couplers with about half the weight.

stuper-bowl sunday ride
Did a newish ride today, the Mariposa gang showed off some trail knowledge. We met at around 9:30 in Placitas, just past the cafe/merc, great weather and a fun ride. It's been a while since I've been up in that area, but man that new stuff was good fun. After the fun we all had lunch together at the cafe.
